The A137 is 3/8 drive that is why the Cat socket is 1/4 drive.
Why on earth don't you just use a 3/4 or 19mm open end wrench and loosen the fuel line nuts to bleed air?
Bob

The open end wrench is my normal way.  But have spent several hours trying to bleed a 9u, after fuel filter change. I opened the lines, used air to force fuel throw the lines and out the filter tower, still nothing. Open the bleeders with the old L shaped wrench. Spit more air, closed them and it started right up.  After spending way to long, would it have run much sooner if I had started there? I hate fiddling with that old wrench in the back of the pump where is hard to see so don't normally do it that way. But if I had a socket and ratchet, I just might.

Thanks for sharing the fuel frustration experiences. i'm relieved to know that i wasn't the only one. I accidentally let my d7-17a run out of fuel last year. filled the tank, put in new filters, and no pressure and no start. I did everything except blow air and even had the right bleed socket but nothing. Finally a month ago after numerous failures it unexpectedly burst into life even tho the gauge showed no pressure, then the pressure came up to normal and all is good. not likely to let one run dry again!

I found that a small amount of air pressure added to the fuel tank can help also. I used a piece of old innertube with the valve stem intact and clamped it to the top of the fuel tank filler neck. Hooked up the air compressor with just a couple of pounds of pressure. Had seen this advise here on the site before. Has worked for me.

Having a full fuel tank also helps with bleeding. For the pressurization approach, Lowes sells a vinyl pipe cap that snugly fits over the D2 fuel filler neck and can be cinched with a jubilee clamp. I added a Schrader valve with nuts and large washers to it and it works perfectly for the rare occasion when I need to bleed the fuel system

Cheers,
