Juiceman, could you PM me the contact information for the fellow that you said will scan and post things into the library? I just ran across 5 LeTourneau manuals that should be available to members. I have almost zero computer skills so I am asking for help.   That was a great chat we had yesterday.                                                        Grant.

POWER CONTROL UNIT (for model R7 and R8,  For RD8 &D8,   for "NEW D7"

POWER CONTROL UNIT  Model T  Rear Double Drum Seems to cover D4 up to D8

Model R rear drum power control unit

BULLDOZER model WE4  for 56 inch RD4 and D4

ANGLEDOZER model  AK8  For RD8 and D8  serial 1H1 and up.

These are all parts manuals and I dont see them in the library, so I think they are a good addition.                                                                                    Grant.

That "fellow" would be Craig aka Seiscat, who enjoys the discussion page as much as many. Craig, are you out here somewhere?
I will send it over.
Yes, quite a nice chat, you know how it is; one can talk CAT all day long! Hahahaha. JM
Thanks.

Yep, I'm here. I'm still scanning my library but I'm interested. How soon I could get to the LeTourneau manuals depends on the responses to this post. Right now I have D8s and D6C Service Manuals in line to be scanned but lets see how the members vote.

Yes, it is a time consuming task to scan and upload all of that material. (Thanks again btw).
It would be nice to be able to access LeTourneau manuals when that time comes. I have a straight blade and CC unit here for my 3T D7 that I might use one day.
Nice offer from Grant! JM

In another facet of LeTourneau, I aquired a large amount of 8x10 photos of LeTourneau equipment being used with Caterpillars, plus a number of Tournapuls with Cat engines. Unless these is high demand I am going to omit the GM and Cummins powered Tournapuls. I am going to scan, And post in a new thread. Photos couver period 1935 to 1940.

Thank you Grant for thinking of us with more information.

Since it is all skills I do not have, I want to thank you Craig for helping the rest of us see this stuff.

Any amount you see fit to put would be nice Brian 18a. I enjoy it all so off color would nice too. Thank you for even thinking about sharing with us.

Hello Brian18a,
After you have scanned the photos, if you email them to
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
I will add them to the library as well.
Perhaps with your permission, we could include some of the photos from time to time in the magazine.

Hi John,
I don't want to hijack this thread and go off topic, but what is the process of getting scanned catalogues/manuals added to the library? Is it as simple as scanning the documents and emailing the file to the address you mentioned above so that an administrator can add them to the library? Could a brief procedure for this be put in a pinned thread topic, similar to the uploading pictures topic and forum rules topics, at the top of the discussion page so that anyone inclined to do so can find it and knows the process to follow? Just a thought. I also thank those that have been involved in scanning and uploading manuals and catalogues for the benefit of all and preserving this information for perpetuity.

Thank you for an excellent suggestion. We will write a procedure for scanning documents and submitting for inclusion in the library as you suggest and post it as a “Sticky”.
