Hi, kittyman1.
I served for 6 years in the Volunteer Bushfire Brigade service here in DowNunda. The brgade Captian had a favorite saying: "There are three main causes of bushfires in Australia - men - women and children.

But I still firmly believe that the main reason that wildfires get to be as dangerous as they do these days is all due to lack of hazard and fuel load reduction.

I also believe in caring for the planet - this from a man who has spent close to 60 years fixing 'Nature's mistakes'.

Just my 0.02.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi Hdonly, There is  quite a bit of D6B info in the ACMOC library and I will add more in the future. You have to be a paying member to have access to the library but you can have a sample of the 12 page D6B sales brochure by doing a search for "D6B sales brochure".

whether you believe global warming is true or not, man has certainly affected the environment and not for the better. and the greenies are to blame too. you cant cut down dead and diseased timber, you cant do hazard reduction burns. you cant create fire-breaks with out permits.

here's how stupid governments can be the Qld state government recently tabled laws in parliament to make it compulsory for land owners to maintain their land and keep it clean, tidy and well mowed they even stated grasses had to be kept under 600mm high. they forgot all grain crops and sugar cane are types of grass, the way it was written meant none of those farmers could grow a crop.

they quickly had to withdraw it and rewrite it so it excluded agricultural crops.

this i how silly Qld law is graziers who have lease country on forestry or national park land are required to maintain that land including hazard reduction but they have to get written permission from the forestry dept or parks & wildlife service before they can apply for a fire permit from the local fire warden
