That's pretty cool. I take it the rear end was up to a 50% increase in power, given everyone did it.

I may have the only HD9 that hasnt been repowered from the stock 4-71 to anything from 6-71, 6V-71, 318 8v-71 in our region. They seemed to take the extra power and abuse but undercarriage would be next limiting factor. Same goes for 9U D6, was impressed by the wide variety of repowers, 1673 Cats seemed to be most popular but have seen various screeming jimmys, even cummins in a few.

You mean not even a 4 valve head and bigger injectors?

I should mention there are still or were several stock engines that were turbocharged that still seem to exist, could gain a gear, and head and injector improvements modifications.
