After cleaning and getting the carb on this D4 all spruced up, I realized I'm out of nos carb gaskets, mostly the one in this photo that connects bowl to tower. Does someone have a source for these gaskets?

I believe this is the rebuild kit. www.steinertractor.com/JDS3656-OEM-Carburetor-Repair-Kit

www.mcdonaldcarb.com/product_p/m2067.htm this one is cheaper.

if you are only wanting a single gasket I didn't see anyone that sold only those but maybe someone more experienced than me will have a source. edit: someone smarter than me already answered while i was writing....

Dealer for the "Bullseye" gasket, I used to purchase several at a time, 9/10 of the time, it is the only gasket needed. Less than $2.00 each if my feeble mind is close.
Someone mentioned plug wires? I have purchased them pre-assembled from the Brillman Company online. Auto parts stores can sometimes sell you bulk wire (copper core) and the ends. Of course, the counter people are reluctant, as I have to explain why I have to make my own wires.
Shoot, when I go up north to fetch a scraper, I should keep my eyes open for extra purchases! Fill that trailer! JM

I called Western States on friday and gave them the part number for the "bullseye gasket", said they had three in stock so bought them all.and theyre on will call for me. I owe my cat mentor two and figured I had better have one for the next cat for the pile or have one for another cat person in need.

Sounds to us that you should have asked them to put in a request for at least a dozen more! Hah! Its funny, because those gaskets do not take up any room and they are probably the least expensive item from a dealer; very handy to have spares on hand. VERY! I am out of them here, I may have reached my limit on acquisitions!
Keep on gathering the stray kitties out there, for the love of old iron. Myself, I have in a roundabout way, accumulated several that belonged to neighbors that parted ways with theirs due to retirement, etc. I might get the "boot" again, because I could not pass up a pair of Allis Chalmers HD-5 orchard conversions. Literally from next door, so that makes it nice. I can be like you, and drive them home! JM

Late to the party, but John Deere used a carburetor on the old 2 cylinder diesel's that started with a pony motor that a gasket repair kit could be used on the Cat D2 and 4 pony motors. It was on this board I learned this fact. But no idea of how long ago. And don't know much different a D6 pony carb is than the D2 or D4 model.
