Hi, Folks.
I would be interested to know just what was being done just prior to this disaster or, alternatively, just how long it took for the situation to get this bad. Wunn Wunnders.
Just my 0.02.
We got the dozer last year, before that, the dozer sat for over 10 years. The previous owner had the dozer for 2 years. I guess the dozer sank in the ground 6" from what he said. My brother was driving up a steep hill to clear another pass, then while making a right turn the track came off and he looked to see what happened, then he found that. We tried to drag the dozer to a spot to work on the dozer with a Ford 4500 tlb and a Ford 6610, but we managed to get the dozer down to a less steep grade and it sat for a year until last Sunday. One of our friends helped get the track back on (what probably would have been a day project, he did in 10 minutes). We then drove the dozer in reverse to work on it a 1/8 of a mile . We got the mud covers off and found that the leaf spring moved today. It looks like the right side kicked out for reason. The right side has more rot at the moment.

Mike if you don't find anything closer, I have a caucuses that track frames and finals are all that's left. I don't know the real history, but from what I do know a flatland tractor with tool bar for deep tillage in the cotton fields maybe.
Where are you from? I'm from Sutton Massachusetts

WOW!
That is some serious wear and neglect of maintenance.
No wonder the track fell off.
Pictures say volumes, this machine needs a lot of TLC, question now is fix or make it a doner for the useable parts.
Track frame, rollers, adjustment, etc are gone. I can not see the track pins and bushings, sprocket looks pretty well used up too.
A word of caution is due here . The RECOIL SPRING IS LOADED - it is just waiting for opportunity to relax. With that much rust, corrosion, you have no way to know how much is holding that spring!

Well I am in California. I was thinking you were Pacific Northwest. Check the for sale section here, someone way east from me was parting a 9u D6. It could of been Great Lakes area but might of been New England area.
