Got to limp the Cat d6 9u back

We finally got the track back on  with D6 the help of a few friends and limped the dozer 1/8 mile home in reverse. Last fathers day the ear snapped off and tweaked the right side under carriage and it died on the side of a hill. We had two tractors try to pull it onto a flat spot on the hill when that happened last year. The dozer sat until last Sunday and we got it home
Just before the dozer died:

Hi, Folks.
I would be interested to know just what was being done just prior to this disaster or, alternatively, just how long it took for the situation to get this bad. Wunn Wunnders.

Hi, Wombat.
I sorta 'figgered' that the diagonal brace would hafta break for the track frame to be wandering so far off course but how long would you hafta keep operating it with the track frame flopping about like a torn sail inna high wind to do the rest of the damage?

Those box section track frame rails are usually pretty hard to bend.

Mike if you don't find anything closer, I have a caucuses that track frames and finals are all that's left. I don't know the real history, but from what I do know a flatland tractor with tool bar for deep tillage in the cotton fields maybe.
