The part numbers are the same in the parts book. I have them coming in the mail now as I would like to get this thing moving. I'll keep that in mind for anything else that this old D6 might need.

Does anyone know if the new steering clutch lever handles from Cat are like the original's? Part # L829. I see aftermarket ones on the internet but they are all plastic and don't seem to have the steel nut to tighten them

Dandy Dave, order from cat dealer, the extended number is 0L 0829 to be able to find on new sis system, yes you can get them same as originals, it could be either O for orange or 0 as a number at the front.

they have a slightly less rounded edge on the end but a bit of emery cloth would fix that.

Factory Cat canopy.

I think so. Does anyone have measurements or some sort of print so I can rebuild it correctly?

Moving along with the D6 rescue and resurrection. Good pulley's for the water pump installed. Waiting for some gaskets from the Great Yellow Pussy Cat. Pony exhaust found and arrived yesterday. Also a pair of oil cooler lines as the ones on the machine laid in the dirt and rusted through. 4 New handles arrived for the steering and master clutch and blade control. Two new knobs for the trans levers. Still waiting for one. Also pressure washed it off on the lower end, and front. Removed the front half of the hydraulic tank to free up the stuck spool valve and reinstalled. New belts installed on the pony motor. When a few more gaskets arrive I will be able to start it up and get the wheel barrels full of dirt out from under it.
