The is gnwoods, question to old Magnet or all, would you still use 30 wt saw oil in main clutch? The wick in the access to clutch is just soft sponge?? My brake clutches have freed up much blaster and a lot of back and forth pushing and pulling. This has gave me incentive to move on to main clutch.

I have looked and found oil rated 10, this would be sae oil? I am OCD when it comes to understanding. I am older than my d4 7u ( 75 ) but have never worked on one. Than you for your help.

This is in the library
You need to provide the serial number of the tractor.

ours has the standard type clutch and the oil is to lube the clutch bearing we just used normal engine oil. the wick should be cotton string or similar not sponge.

Hi Josh,
I am with you, that's why I asked for the serial number.

How do I know the difference between a dry clutch and oil clutch? Down in the belly there is not any oil. Does this make it a dry clutch? All I see is cup on top of the ring and small cup in front of left brake petal. Hand lever to pull will not move. I don’t know what steps need to be followed. I need advice. Thanks

If you have a small cup in front of left brake pedal you machine have a dry master cluch and maybe the collar on cluch shahtis missing lubrification and maybe the interlock is in trouble and make sure the transmission is in neutral fonction
