Going for a uncontrolled slide down a snowy and frozen hill in any piece of equipment is not fun. Our hill is not very big but there is a canal at the bottom of it. The hill works great for the kids to go sleding on as long as they get stopped before going in the canal.

Sliding --
Some of my co-workers were seasonal, worked in the Sierra high country logging. They had some stories that make you shiver when talking about Cat losing traction on dirt covered rock or just bare rock.
One of them went end over end with a CDF fire Cat - ended on its top -- another cat to the rescue pulled it back on its feet, checked oil, hit switch and went back to work.
