Cats of the Past was created by deereskinner
The first two pics are of my grandpa Charley Lisenbee, age 22 in 1937 on a RD4.  Building in the background is the Pigeon Hollow School in Latah County Idaho near Farmington, Washington.
The other two pics are of CATs plowing out the county road between Farmington and Garfield Washington in the winter of 1949.

Deas--Until you go for an uncontrolled slide down a snowy and frozen hill on a dozer you can't appreciate all the thrills of operating one!!

Deas--Until you go for an uncontrolled slide down a snowy and frozen hill on a dozer you can't appreciate all the thrills of operating one!!

Thanks but I think I'll pass on that one. Maybe it's time for a story from King Of Obsolete about a snowtrain cat going through the ice on a frozen lake or river.

Unfortunately we have no clue what happened to the RD4, I only know of one here locally in the area, just like all the other crawlers that marched all over our region, where did they all go, mostly scrap I guess.
