Very nice work, you're lucky to have a place locally that can roll steel like that. Very impressive to only have one leak on a tank that size. Personally I wouldn't use any sealer if it was mine, I've just heard of to many problems related to the different types of products, although I don't have any direct experience with them

the uncle has a thing for classic bikes and he used redkote on all his tanks. yeah preparation is key dont prep properly and it will fail. my thinking is it would be easier to coat a brand new tank as it hasnt had any fuel in it and thus no fuel residue to remove first.

I envy your capabilities, I can only begin the think of those kind of repairs. Your work looks excellent sir. You set a high bar for the rest of us. Loved following your rebuild of the Holt a couple of years back. Thanks for sharing

Very nice work Bruce
I wouldn't line it with anything. The sheets still have the mill scale on them so whatever you line it with would be sticking to that and not the steel.
