Yes, I would never recommend Models as an investment. And fact that the NZG's were full of flaws,,mostly terrible paint and chips...One really nice one sold on ebay for $1500, and I bellieve it may have been professionally touched up!! I did this with one of my valuable models;found a guy that goes around to car dealers and touches up cars where you would NEVER know it had a chip...Its amazing what a knowledgeable person can do!!In fact, a 797 and a 797B sold at auction here in Central Illinois last summer. I don't remember the exact price, but it was just over $1000 each. These NZG trucks are realatively scarce since the production quantities were low.
The Norscot model probably will not reach that level of value because Norscot will produce them in large quantities. That's how they make their money on them. But it isn't conducive to appreciation in value.
