A unique self propelled scraper unit. I was told there were more than one built. Just wondering who might own one of these. JM

Hi, Juiceman.
WOTTIZITT????????? Looks like a cross between a Cat, a Bucyrus Erie, an early LeTourneau C-pull and a 'junkyard dog' with some of the best and the worst of each and with both cables and hydraulics - cab looks like it was 'borrowed' from a Cat 12E grader.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I will go visit it when the weather clears up. It could prove interesting to operate. Nothing beats having an "odd duck" in ones collection. JM

The draught arms scream Wooldridge to me.
Wabcoman, who used to frequent various forums, would probably be able to identify it, but haven't seen him posting in recent years.

JM, when you go visit it, can you take some photos of how the engine/transmission/rear case was integrated to the frame assembly. I can guess at what it is, but the interesting pieces for me are in the detail of how they worked around the various obstacles. Based on the way the Vickers unit that is at chumduffy's place operates, the tractor pivoting could be quite severe if the operator steered too aggressively. If it was going to design a unit like this, I think my approach would be to combine steering clutch disengagement along with proportional steering in the articulated section. In which case, swapping the bevel gear arrangement for a differential would be a possibility if a suitable diff could be identified

Cheers,
Neil

Something about this scraper jogged my memory to Clark Airborne dozers of WW2. With help of google I found the Letourneau D4 Airborne scraper was often pared with the little dozer. With what pictures I found the scraper JM has picture is a modified Let D4 or somebody used it as model to copy when building the pictured one. So JM homework is to look the Let D4 information over, and tells us after he puts hands on if if modified or copy.

JM you can thank me latter for putting another brand out there just have to have one of. As the Clark is little so even though you say the shed is full, I am sure there is room for a little mimi dozer.
