As a member of the Webtech committee, I've seen first hand how passionate John is to improving the benefits of this club to the membership. Thanks John and Kurt, and the rest of the BoD for your dedication to the club.

Hi, willwingo.
I would BET that the board has NOT directed that the nominating committee not nominate more people than there are vacant positions. The nominating committee CAN NOT list more names THAN THERE ARE PERSONS STANDING FOR THE POSITIONS.
The number of vacancies has NOTHING to do with how many people are listed for those vacancies. The chief reason that so few people have been listed for the vacancies in recent times is that there are SO FEW people putting their hands up for those positions.
And I suspect that they are required by law to list ALL the people who throw their hats in the ring.
Have YOU offered to stand for a position on the BoD?????????????????
Or ANY of the committees????
Would it be a fair guess where your 'sympathies' lie?????????????????
A kew-ree-yuss mind would like to know.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Generally speaking I try to keep quit about the politics, around the club. As I don't have time to give and figure if your going the speak up you better be ready to stand up and help. I keep reading in the news letter every year "PLEASE VOLENTEER" to be on a comity or run for a board position. Until some people step up and say they did and the board refused them I will believe the current board that says nobody has.
As for John Gaunt I want to say THANK YOU this club has been 10 or more years thinking about setting up a library of parts books and service books John got it DONE. I don't know how John got it done, but my guess is he sat down at his computer and just did it. Because I know very generous members with the books and others with money agreed to try earlier, without much if any encouragement from the board at the time.. I feel the library access is first time the club has had something of value to sell to other than those looking to fill a display case with nick knacks. Not taking away from the great people I have had the privilege of meeting, some from around the world, but that could of happened from just using the board without being members. Because those that use this board tend to be generous and share the great amount of of knowledge they have learned by way of hard knocks. This has been hard to harness to keep money coming in to keep the board operational.
So again thank you to the many that have given me help keeping my vintage equipment moving.

Ray54, Thank you for the kind words but as with many things the Library was and is a team effort. Much credit goes to Ryan Black at AdCo who designed the system for us, Glen Slocombe who supplied much of the data in electronic format, Neil Paku who did a lot of file conversion and Tony Johnson who has scanned and uploaded many documents.
