The name on the card, John Gaunt, is a current board member in good standing and has provided tremendous service to the Club.

The reason that there is only one person on the slate is that no one else put their name in the hat, no other reason.

The reason that we printed the card and sent it is that there is a valid candidate and we're mandated by the bylaws to present the candidate for a vote to the membership.

I'm the President, and I can hardly be called a "good old boy".

I'd like to think that you can see some progress, stay tuned and you'll certainly see more.

It seems like there is something that is bothering you about the Board, I encourage you to send me a private message with what that is, let's get it figured out.

Wow!! We went for over a week on the board without a sniper attack. That was really enjoyable.

I have a dog that for some reason always carries an old bone around.

All Board Members are legitimately in their positions according to the Club's bylaws, so here yo go (from memory, so I stand to be corrected)

The elected members had enough votes to be placed.

Elected:
Jim Heater
John Gaunt
Sue Westwood
Jan Meermans
Brendan Cornfoot
Tony Johnson

Appointed:
Kurt Bangert
Ed Coughlin
Jen Ming Gee

I hope that helps ease your mind.

Hi, D4Jim.
I suspect that your old dog may have 'security' issues. But at least he/she is being open and honest about it.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi, willwingo.
NONE of the current BoD members are of the 'good ol' boys', voted in or appointed. The one BOD on the ballot card DID recently resign from a board position, that of President of the BoD, but NOT from membership of the board. He is currently up for RE-election at the end of his first 3-year term to serve on the BoD for another 3 years. Since he is the ONLY person who has nominated for that position, he will likely be elected simply 'coz he IS unopposed.

The 'good ol' boys' are the ones who constituted the 'concerned members', the same ones who were in charge when the clubs funds and assets 'magically' went from around a mere $800.000 all the way 'UP'(????) to around $400,000 over about 5 years. And they now want to 'rescue' the club???????????????????????????????

Just my 0.02.

Just to clarify things. I resigned as President of our club because I believed there was a better person to lead our club through these difficult times. I think you will agree that Kurt is doing an OUTSTANDING job as our leader. I do feel that I have contributed a lot, especially in leading the Webtech committee which has delivered many things to increase member benefits especially the members library. I do want to continue to focus on bringing more benefits to members and this is the main reason why I am seeking election for another term and I sincerely hope that I have the support of the majority of members.

As a member of the Webtech committee, I've seen first hand how passionate John is to improving the benefits of this club to the membership. Thanks John and Kurt, and the rest of the BoD for your dedication to the club.
