I did a search and found a YouTube video of the tools that would have come with the D4.  I know I've seen some of those tools from the video that were not in the under seat toolbox laying around somewhere...I'm gonna have to try hunt them down.

I tend to look inside the toolboxes of each tractor that I have brought home. Sort of a time capsule, I will guess what the owners habits were by the remaining contents. I had a D-2 once that I found a half consumed bottle of whiskey; I sent it back to the former owners son and they got a good chuckle from that to remember their dad.
As far as the tools go, the majority of my Caterpillar tools I got by collecting from each tractor over the years. JM

we put the small rock blade on and go dig all the rocks....then put the big blade back on and push the rocks onto a "stone boat" (heavy steel flat skid) pulled by a tractor...then go to an marginal area to push the rocks off for "long term storage" ha-ha
