My understanding is that NOTHING that they do in this meeting today will have ANY binding legal effect on the club as a whole simply 'coz they have NOT followed the processes laid down in the club constitution and by-laws.

But what would I know???? I'm 'justa pore, dumm bulldozer op'rator'.

Just seems to me to be a HYOOOOGE waste of time, energy, resources and cash to try to satisfy a few egos.

The issue that you’re not all seeing here Is that the current board of directors sent out a email  to local chapters telling us to change local chapters to basically stand on their own with a lot more paperwork and Filing as a nonprofit organization with the state. this is going to be the death of our local chapter and many other chapters. without local chapters we don’t have members meetings, we don’t have shows, we don’t have annual shows you basically don’t have ACMOC

That policy has been abandoned as of several weeks ago when the BoD got heaps of feedback telling them that it was not going to work. They are now looking at a 'tiered' form of chapters and are inviting input from members and chapters about what will or won't, might or might not work. Let 'em know your thoughts and concerns.

Well Deas my friend options are always good. I think that’s the whole problem when the chapters were told what to do it seemed more of an order than an idea or Suggestion

Watched the show, not very impressive. I have a lot more confidence in Sue Woodward's financial analysis than anything from the former treasurer. At this point some sound legal advice is in order.

I didn't sit through the whole session, just skimmed through it after the event but I agree with you on BOTH points.

There was some pretty heavy 'whitewashing' of various aspects of it too.

Too bad that some of those in charge in the past couldn't swallow their pride and admit their mistakes rather than trying to whitewash it by a takeover attempt. Nothing good can come of this by their all or nothing approach. Pretty much a ho-hum meeting in my humble opinion. Watching the "Group's" second rate meeting gives me even more confidence in our present BoD.

I would not have wanted most of the 'concerned members' on the BoD again before this attempted hi-jack. Now there's NO WAY I'd vote for any them to be back on the board. Most of 'em are the very same people who got the club into the mess that the current BoD are trying to get it back out of.

And then they try to pull this stunt. We don't need saboteurs or back-stabbers in this club. Come and play nicely or GET LOST.
