Hi guys wondering if you can help me out.  I am looking for a cutting edge and end bits for an Australian 9F2345 Blade Group.  The parts manual lists part number IJ6 as the part number for the cutting edge and IJ127 (RH) and IJ128 (LH) for the end bits.  I believe these blades were made in Melbourne Australia.  My local Cat dealer is struggling to find the parts.  It seems most cutting edges are now 6" centres and this one is 4".  Any help or advice will be much appreciated.  Cheers

 

May have to just flip the center edge, the end bits not sure, they dont show end bits with five holes in them, just three and in line with the center edge bolt holes. Odd

I just brought cutting edges for my 7U earlier this year from Cat, the part numbers have changed.
I keep a list of updated numbers and at the bottom you will find them.


1J16 should be 1J6 (typo)

they are reverible so if not allready done turn em over. the bolts are available at all good bolt suppliers. there called plow bolts.

yours hasnt been reversed so you can do that. good idea to change the bolts. and give em a smear of anti-sieze before install make life easier next time. it also allows a proper tightening.

Your cutting edge hasn't been turned, so it will go again if you use the unused side. The corner tips are a problem, maybe try an after market supplier like Cutting Edges, or you could build up with some good quality steel.. I often used worn corner tips of a larger tractor, cut out a section and welded onto the smaller end bit.

You could also weld up the holes in the blade for the end bits and redrill them to suit the new end bits.
Your old end bits look like the type found on cable blades which help to pull the blade into the ground wheres the ones shown by Daryl are more suited to hydraulic blades.
My father always said the end bits were critical in getting a cable blade to cut properly.
