Looking for assistance on this unit.its been sitting for years because the clutch was worn out.replaced the clutch disc.machine shop resurfaced the flywheel and pressure plate.they were only slightly scored from the worn out disc.the unit moves but slippage occurs when a load is applied like an up hill or carrying a load.there is an adjustment on the pressure plate but I'm not sure where it should be set at or if this is even the issue.has anyone come across this issue.any assistance is greatly appreciated. It's a good unit and have had fun getting it up and running after a long rest.

There is.increased it today but I'm waiting for a tilt cylinder to be repaired so I couldn't test it.

When you resurfaced the flywheel - does the pressure plate bolt to that new surface or a raised outer lip of flywheel? There should be spec for the forks to disk surface adjustment.

Any chance the disk was installed backward? Does the hub protrude further on one side than the other? Did it get burned long enough in operation to take the spring out of the springs? Those adjustments usually are set up on a bench to get all of the levers up to a factory spec and all the same. Have they been tinkered with? Just a few things I have run onto over the years, maybe of no use to you at all, but they are things I check first...

The disc could have been backwards to begin with.dont have a manual to check the orientation of the disc so I installed it the same way.this has been tinkered with alot before I started on it so anything is possible. From what I can see the last clutch disc didn't last very long.the oil supply to the clutch was turned off.assumed that was the cause of the short life span but now I think it wasn't.taken a photo of the disc spline and the snout of the disc is facing towards the release bearing.

Honestly I can't remember if it's a raised edge or not.its hard to tell now that it is together. Do you of a link to specs or manual for this beast?

Oops! I hadn't considered this to be an oil clutch. Could someone have put in a dry clutch disk, a "will fit" part? Does it want to hang up when shifting out of neutral, like one side of the disk is sticking to the flywheel until you get it jammed into gear? Check that part number, see if it is the correct disk, dry or oil application.
