This is how the D4 was dragged onto the trailer. The 933 was used to lift one side at a time while the steel sheets were placed under the tracks then chained tightly around the tracks. I didn't get to watch the operation but was told that it still took a lot of pushing and winching because of the cleats on the beaver tail.
Thanks for all of the advice on getting everything unstuck. That's probably in the future.

Success! Glad you got it loaded. I was thinking of something similar for you, 1x3 square tube x 2 for each side used as rails with a touch of oil presuming you have a level loading place. What are your plans with the D4? Keep us updated!

Well, there were five of them recovered, I think. D2s and D4s. They belong to someone else. Maybe parts machines. Several electric start pony motors, a couple of ptos, and a D4N winch. He said that he just didn't want to see them go to scrap.
