I'm just sorry Greenpeace, Wave Rider Foundation, EPA, OSHA, and DOT representatives weren't there to contribute.

The After Action Environmental Impact Report will be a doozy.
Oh yea the exhaust smoke from those 8R's!! OH MY!!! How terrible!!! lol

no power and the brakes are set,
all that thing is good for now is to pull blade and rippers and tracks and few hard parts and junk the rest.

I've been on a couple of rescues and this seems pretty typical, a lot of fat cats who don't really know what they're doing barking orders.
More machines is better than a plan, always.
My favorite part is when the "professional firefighter " pops out of the fire dozer with no shoes and shorts, very professional.
Seems like the only one who knew what he was doing was the fellow cleaning the tracks

They had a beautiful D8H on the tv show Emergency, Snake Bite episode, it sounded so good, and they had some excellent shots of it cutting a trail down the hillside and the crew riding on it back up the hill! They sure don't make shows like that anymore!!! Now it's all "OH that's too dangerous! we can't do that!"
