Used to be able to get everything through Cat, now they tell me they are not in the paint business, now you have to find it yourself, just like the sealing compounds, it's all through Permatex, or Loctite now. They might as well start selling Dell computers and laptops to fix their new crap now.

Sorry rturn, I ordered a couple gallons a week or two ago and they still had stock. They should have more in a couple weeks, I've seen them run out before, and they make up another batch in a week or two.

yes its a enamel. and yes brush roller or spray.
they have some 2 part coatings too. and a primer called tie coat that's designed to go between the two or other brands and their coatings. note all the por 15 coatings must be stirred not shaken. no i havent used it personally i have seen jobs done with it though. and it worked quite well. it was made for the car restoration and hot rod market. also note some of thier anti corrosion paints are not uv safe but are perfect for inside battery boxes and the like and other areas out of sun light.

Hello, I am writing from Italy, I hope I am in the right discussion, I searched through the search function for discussions about the color of the old caterpillars.
I am working on the restoration of a DW 21 caterpillar screper built in 1953.
I would need a plaque with the correct yellow for those years.
Can someone help me? thanks in advance for the availability

Manuel, you may want to order a sample from the club store and have it color-matched locally.

Your local AXALTA Auto Paint dealer has a Hiway Yellow old Cat Yellow paint number, it is industrial IMRON it is a 2 part polyurethane NOT Cheap but will last 20 years in the weather with a good primer and a little work you can get a glossy mirror finish pretty easy to put on. You DO have to use a respirator!! Have used it for several years and I am very happy with it. 17afarmer
