Welcome to the club Manuel. That is quite a project to undertake, we all wish you the best in its restoration. Hope to see it in a video operating along with many smiles. Many of us here are so fortunate to have access to parts here in the United States. Are there any future plans for restoration of other types of Caterpillar equipment? JM.

Yes i have a d8 14a from 1960 awaiting restauration

dw 21 update.
I finally found the replacement cylinder block for the pony engine. I got lucky, I even found it new old stock.obviously I found it in the United States, here in Italy I had found 2 but all in a state of scrap. I completely sandblasted the pony engine and then applied a coat of paint.I then started the teardown to replace the cylinder block.Unfortunately I found a problem with the crankshaft.A bushing is in bad condition and should be replaced, it is completely scored.Does anyone know where I could find it? the code is 1H2753
The crankshaft is fortunately still usable without being reground. fortunately because from the measurements it appears to have already been reground once.I attach some photos of the work.the hole you see in the old block was my attempt to repair the cracked block with ice. my idea was to open a window to have the possibility to weld the internal wall which was cracked. unfortunately, however, the presence of a double external wall and the poor conditions of the internal one made it impossible for me to repair it
