Hi, Wombat.
Re your comment above, and I quote:
"It is unfortunate that the Membership did not show as much interest in the financial operations of the Club when hundreds of thousands were being consumed in the past."
Unquote.
A look back through the history of this forum will show that there have been several lengthy and vociferous threads in the past about the club's financial affairs so I would not suggest that there has been a lack of interest. H*#l, you might even find a post or two from me in some of those discussions and more from Old Magnet, amongst others.
The REAL problem was that we could not get any serious answers from past BoD members. Especially, we were never told of the 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' antics of some past treasurers and this is the first time that I personally have heard that the model molds were not being depreciated.
Bashing one's head against a brick wall does tend to slowly feel better when one stops doing it.
A BIG 'hatzoff' to Sue and other current BoD members for all their work in getting the records straight and getting the club back on some sort of even keel.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

This organization has a long history of asking for advice and wants from its subscribers/ members and then totally ignoring whatever the feedback. We have answered surveys, both online and by mail, had votes taken by mail and then done over after being done wrong and many other requests - the resulting information, whatever it was, disappeared.
All of these posts will be forgotten about in six months - if the group is still around.
The issues with the store and the website were all going to be solved with the new $30,000 system. I have never been able to identify how that was paid for through the reports that show up every so often or through the Board minutes that are occasionally published. Is that another expenditure hanging over the club?
We always hear - "if you don't like the way it being done - why don't you do it". There is nothing new here- just beating the same dead/ dying horse.

Bmr, Jon rather than shame and complain in a public forum, maybe you might like to supply me with your phone number, I am willing to call you and discuss any of the issues you have and see how best we can resolve them. All the Directors are available and more than willing to hear from Members as to any problems or complaints they may have, email addresses and phone numbers are readily available.
The Club is run with one full time Administrator, and recently a temporary person to clear a store backlog for Christmas. Late 2018 staffing was cut from two to one due to the financial situation, that has now been stabilized and the BoD is trying to grow the balance sheet. The deficit is due to bringing to account the model molds and depreciating them, this had not been done in the past, our accounting systems are now operating correctly. It is unfortunate that the Membership did not show as much interest in the financial operations of the Club when hundreds of thousands were being consumed in the past.
Regards, your diligent servant, Wombat (Neil Clydsdale - President)

Question Neal.
Your words a public forum. Why do I or others need a private phone call....?
Waiting for a response again won't hold my breath.
