I learned something. Yay! In all my years of being around crawlers, this is a FIRST on the plow clips. Never seen or heard of any until now. Thanks Seyser for the photos, it gives me a better idea of how they were meant to be installed. JM

I'd buy two pairs if someone wanted to make a batch. One pair for each D2

Don't remember ever seeing a rope clip around here like the Cat ones. Ours were a piece of baling wire with a u shape at the end to hold the knot in the end of the trip rope. The Cat one looks much more substantial and much better as ours would sometimes pull out of the baling wire accidentally and would have to stop and hook it up again.

I only seen 1 per machine usually on the right side for right handed operators. This were used for any trip style implement. Guess you could go with duels!

This is a good design! All the plows I have used have a break away so if you hit a rock or root it would disconnect from the tractor. The rope would just slip out of the clip when that happens. I have a friend that had a John Deere 70. I had an old plow and he wanted to try it out with his new to him tractor. We got everything all greased up and adjusted and I told him we will need a rope because to one on it rotted off. He found a jump rope that the kids had laying around. He tied a knot in the armrest of the seat and off he went. We plowed almost all day and he hit rock. He and the seat frame was in the dirt with the plow and I had to go chase the tractor down before it went into the woods line. No body got hurt and I got to the tractor before It ran too far. Seat frame was mangled up but the jump rope was just fine!
