Australia Post are your cheapest option on small parcels, but still not cheap, seems after 9/11 all the postal services around the world went ballistic on prices, including USPS and Canada Post, probably the best I find are the Limeys for price and speed, their postal service is brilliant for international deliveries out of England.
I contacted JP Pistons myself and at $US120 per piston, plus shipping, which will probably be another $US40, it is almost cheaper to resleeve your motor and use standard pistons, though you still need to buy the new rings, because you have to bore the worn engine to take these new pistons.

Mike, we do have a pretty good exchange rate going on now. That will help a lot. Thanks for your comments.

Elton were you able to get a drawing from JP of their piston? I wish I could have drawings for both pistons to compare. The last attachment is what they sent me but there is not really enough data there to compare. From the attached Cat doc the standard piston should measure 2.747 on the skirt and 2.732 on the lands. That pistons goes in a 2.752 diameter hole. That leaves .005 of clearance at the skirt. The JP doc simply says .005 clearance at the top and .003 clearance at the bottom. Maybe i should just wing it and order it. I guess I would only be out $300 if it wont work.

Gee, I don't remember having to spec all that info when I ordered mine. I think I just asked them for 020 oversize and they figured out the rest.

Neil what machine did you order pistons for? Their site says PN JPO154 is for the D2/D4 1936-1940. Mine is a 1959.

I think the pistons are all the same. Mine is a 1953 D2 5U13753 and those are the pistons I used. There's no material difference between mine and yours regarding the pony pistons I as far as I know

for sending stuff if small items under 5kg sending via auspost isnt too bad anything over that couriers like fedex are probably a better option.

Hi Team,
recently Mike Meyer checked with JP on the available Over Size pony piston sizes and received the following reply stating that their pistons are available up to 0.080" OS-- as I recalled--so you can bore those ponies out to 0.080" over standard and get a hot rod pony or maybe just a cheaper rebuild without having to re-sleeve back to standard.
What I was sure of and seemed to recall that when rebuilding ponies for Parts Exchange at the Dealer way back when in the day as an Apprentice with 0.080 OS pistons--this thought has now been confirmed.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
Hi Mike,
Please check the attached data sheets.
JP0152 costs $178.01 per piston assembly ( includes rings, pin & circlips) + GST, postage & handling.
JP0154 costs $144.04 per piston assembly ( includes rings, pin & circlips) + GST, postage & handling.
They are both available from STD to +.080” oversize.
We have had 3 enquiries about this piston this week & at least two are from people in the USA,
Could be the man you’re trying to help?
We do sell direct to the USA, the cost of postage depends on the finished weight of the order.
Payment is by Mastercard or Visa once the order is ready to be sent.
If you bought them for him, we would have to charge the GST too.
Kind Regards
Heather
