Thanks for all the responses! I checked with my machinist yesterday and going over the JP specs compared to the CAT specs, JP's piston compression height is .007 less and my block surface needs a bit of touch up, so that will be fine; the skirt is a tiny bit longer, again no problem, and the ring grooves are different sizes, but the pistons come with rings so that isn't a problem either. I emailed JP last evening and hope to have a response tonight when I get home. Thank you all for your help and interest!

Alex, I think Hector meant himself. He's been selling parts here for years and is a well-known and trusted source from Quebec. I think his supply is running down these days but he still has the occasional item.

Alex, I got an email from them yesterday saying my pistons will ship no later than Tuesday Feb 2. They took a long Christmas break lasting until Jan 19th. so it took a bit to get things rolling.
Now I will ask about shipping. What has the group found with shipping small parts from Australia to the east coast (Virginia). Is the post pretty efficient, or should I ask for quotes from DHL or FEDEX?
Thanks! Elton

i used to order a lot of parts from the USA and the best for me was Post by far, esp cost!
i think freight has really gone up the past few years so hang on.. nothing wrong with getting quotes either..
