big thanks to Neil and Norm for coming out... I'm happy we have some understanding on how to proceed. I definitely have enough 5 gal pails to catch coolant. The question for removing the pony becomes timeline... we have a lot going on and I'm not sure when we'll be able to get to it, but I'm hopeful it will happen this warm season. Or I'm thinking someone may get antsy waiting for us to get to it and come help =p
Thanks again to everyone here and especially Norm and Neil for coming out!
Will keep everyone posted on progress, whenever some happens

Ok so he knows the pony needs repairs before it (the pony) can be used?
Cheers,

I did let him know. He said he's very familiar with the machine. I'll keep you guys updated on what transpires... not going to do anything without checking with ya'll first.

Sounds good Fred. As we discussed, the issues are:
- pony has at least one broken rod
- throttle and choke controls are swapped (and the throttle rod is in the toolbox)
- governor is disconnected (main reason the rods are broken due to overspeed)
- solenoid for pony starter needs to be replaced - only works manually
Everything else looks ok but it would be worth removing a sample from the drain plugs of all chambers to ensure that there is no water in the oils
Cheers,

Time to sell this bad boy as we've run out of time.
I believe the only update is that someone attempted repairs on the pony motor and I'm not certain where they left off.
I will investigate further but wanted to get the sale process started.
