I don't know about that. My book shows an overhead shot of 9F7907 starter group and it shows the same bracket 9F1412 with only the starter button switch 3F1006 attached to it. The 9F7908 starter group shows the same bracket and switch set up. Both the 9F7907 and 9F7908 starter groups should also show the magneto switch for the bracket, they do not. "Some thing is rotten in Denmark". LOL The story continues.:)

I agree it is not shown properly on the 9F7907 view but the wire leads are an indicator on the 9F7908. If you look back at the various groups you can see the mag lead/switch that becomes hidden by the view of the starter button. Afraid that's about as good as it's going to get, works for me as there are no other bracket numbers other than the earlier one holers.

I guess the cheese in Denmark is good! LOL. I'll differ to you and other other Cat people who have forgotten more about parts etc than I'll ever know. One more thing, do you think I should drain the coolant in the system before I remove the nut to attach the bracket to the pony cylinder head? Have a nice weekend. Joe:D

No, I wouldn't bother draining the cooling system to remove the nut.......at least not a first;) ;) can always tighten it back up if it starts leaking but more than likely it is sealed up with cooling side deposits anyway.
