Yes, it has it's own dedicated oil pump and filter mounted on the tractor.
Study up on the Allied site and you should be able to get the info you need.
They came with either single lever or double lever controls.
Early serial number winches are cast iron (with hyster name and model cast in) later models are fabricated steel with attached name and model tags.

the pump for the powershift winch w6e freespool is under left floor plate bolted to the converter but gets it,s oil out of the winch sump
those pumps can be a headache.
there is a full flow high pressure filter located under a plate on the left side of winch housing. if you get water in winch oil and it freezes the filter will rupture and all contaminates it has captured will be turned loose to take out pump and wreak havoc throughout the system. the discs depend on low pressure oil constantly between them to stay cool. debris will mess up small check valves that close when high pressure oil engage clutches.after pressure falls to static the checks will not reopen and you will get damage to discs
bull hooks and other rigging running around drum will loosen top cover on winch letting water in
If it is a powershift winch I would start with the hydraulic system
Hyster parts are rediculously over priced but pumps can be rebuilt by any good hyd shop A word of warning do not replace pump with a pump of greater flow capacity too much flow will close valves that allow oil to flow between discs
I did finnaly find a filter at napa so dont throw it away till you can duplicate it
hope some of this will help

P S the freespool uses a separate lever that disconnects the drivetrain after the brake drum. the drum will rotate even with brake set. the brake is spring set and hydraulicaly released
Mine was on 10k 8589.
I am not sure when the free spool first became available but make sure it is not simply disengaged if so equipped
I have seen direct drive winches installed on power shift Cats. to engage winch you had to put trans in gear to stall converter' engage winch then place trans in neutral to pull with winch. nuff ramblin lol
