nice job looking forward to the road trip bonus. must have been real heavy if you could not lift one end. i see you had to take off over half your trailer planks just to make scale weight ? lol
Good one. LMAO. Actually we left some broken plank on his burn pile. Got the dried oak logs laying here ready to be sawed for all three trailers. I will get them to the mill when the road restrictions go off in May. It did break every dry rotted plank it touched with the left front wheel. Good thing the cross members are fairly close together.

Adams used a single cylinder Wisconsin engine.
Someone else told me they were a Wisconsin, and others said they were a Cat single cylinder. Do you know what model Wisconsin it would be. There are a few of them around. I might have a chance of finding one.

Thanks. I'll check. We are switching cable, phone, and internet and are currently without good internet waiting for new service to be installed.

I've got several Adams Leaning Wheel Pull Graders...I used a couple big ones before I got a CAT 212...Needed two operators...one on the tractor and one on the pull grader...And, I couldn't get any help...So, the CAT 212 motor grader was welcome relief...But, the old ones,...are a real work out...Makes for a good grader operator...with all the wheels to adjust...

Do you have any that had the single cylinder engine driving the power control unit? I sure would like to see a picture or two of the engine mounted.

No, none of mine have the engine on them...However, Legend Hill Enterprises/ Troy Rhodes in Fredericksburg, Texas...had one that had the Wisconsin engine on it...We had talked about it...Now, Troy, is a farm machinery trader, buyer, seller, mechanic...and will talk to you...He can tell you who he sold the Adams to...
As I recall, he said the person that bought the Adams wanted it for "yard art"...So, that's the best I can do for you...
Respy, Carl's Cat...
p.s. I know I have read about this hydraulic powered Adams grader...Might be in the Adams book...

The hydraulic drive is an conversion. Not sure if the county did it or if it was done later on. Do you know the name of the Adams book. I will have to search for oneon e-bay.

I'll have to "dig" for the book...I've got all my manuals and such in tubs to be moved out of the house...I don't recall the title of the book on Adams graders, but it covered nearly all of the pull graders from the smallest to the largest before motor graders...There was a time when I was collecting pull graders...and reading about them wherever I could find info...Changed to CAT212, and that ended that...
