Gidday Ian,
If that Fowler Challenger is what I think it is it is very rare, having a two cylinder version of the 'Field Marshall' two stroke diesel engine. As with many rare models, the reason it is rare is that they were not a success with the engines aparantly using a lot of oil and wearing rapidly.
Great pictures and a good selection of machines including the great little Ransomes MG6 machine.

That is a Challenger with the 2 cylinder 2 stroke there are couple floating around in Australia but thats fairly rare unit world wide now, not many made to start with and not many survived

Hi John , Yes it is a Challenger One .Had a quick chat to the owner .He lives not far from our Australian resident expert on Marshall and fowler tractors . He said Don said there was about 250 Challenger ones that came to Australia .
The little Ransome not only looked good , but was mechanicly A1 ,, Started first pull on the crank handle

Last years show at Kimgaroy was fantastic. I, unfortunately was unable to attend , but through Great friends sending me photos straight from the rally was able to post some photos on a thread here .
