Needless to say, I'm jealous.....is it in as good a shape as it appeared to be, just looking at it? What plans do you have for it, A little side work perhaps? LOL! A little strip mining on weekends, maybe?

I figured at scrap price I would preserve some history. Sounded good huh. Yea dust in your face on week ends:D If I use on one job the old girl is paid for.

I had so much fun this year. First, a good friend who sells concrete to my construction company had a 15,000 cyd slide in his back yard. A small donation to our chapter and fuel had local club members busy on weekends for 10-12 weeks. Had the #40 scraper, and #60 earning payloads:D . We had d6-9u's with 4x4's, d6-9u with a hydralic can, d4-7u dozers, and once in a while a moden peice to help out putting in sub drains and such.

Second, the chapter held a play day @ Ponte's place that lasted 4 week ends. Again scraper dirt building up his dam. His kid wanted an Island, so on the last week end the Ponte family had a trip out of town, so I snuck over and built an island with a moat around it. I had so much fun building the island. Cat equipment is so cool. Just think, now that I am all grown up I can play like a kid, building all the cool stuff that I used to dream of.

I worked my ass off all year, but had a gas(or should I say diesel:rolleyes: )
So Alan, now I can really have big dreams, and have big fun. I sure want to get one job close to home, moving dirt, so I can tell staff to carry on in the office,so I can haul some DIRT:D .-glen

Retro Grading just took delivery of 2 657G push pull scrapers, and a D6T XLR with GPS, so now we can bid some BIG jobs....

The 650 was shipped today. I took pictures and will post tomorrow.

Well the old girl made it to my office. I thought I would post some pictures as promised. I have been told it is not a 650, but is a 660 scraper. It makes sense because it sure is a lot bigger than the specs of a 650:D .

Some one should tell that driver to either power down on the can or put stands under the dove tail on that basket dolly before unloading off the dolly.Its a wonder it didnt flip that dolly straight up,It keeps the back end of the dolly on the ground
