Congrats on the new toy.
What size is your yard?
I have 30 acres. Is that enough room to turn one around in??
Cheers

Can I have your #40 scraper now that you won't be using it anymore?

That sure is a nice looking DW20 you have. I remember back about the late 1950s or early 60s Nello Teer a contractor from Durham NC came up to Bear Creek near Wilkes Barre here in NE Pa. and built a flood control dam in the river there so he brought a whole fleet of DW20s to haul fill from one area to the dam site which was quite a distance away.We used to make repairs on them from the Cat dealer I worked for.

Hi SJ,
That's a 650 model with D346 engine same as powered the 660 and 666. Started out at 450 hp then 500 hp in 1964 then 550 hp in 1969 with the introduction of the 650B.
7upuller,
Your going to put Herb out of business with that one:)

Thanks OM, I couldn,t tell much from the picture here so thought it was a DW20. We had lots of the 657s here in the area & 641s so have rebuilt lots of those D346 engines years ago. They sure had a broad rear on them with a real mess of timing gears inside the cover. When I first posted it was a DW20 I didn,t look at it very close in the picture but did now & it sure is lots bigger than a DW20 would be all the way around.
