Yeah all the links are matching now and no I'm not familiar with the alignment specs.

Do you have the "Servicemen's Reference Book for the D6?
If not I'll post the pages a little later this evening.

No I don't have the book. And I would appreciate you posting that whenever you get time.

Here's the info, alignment out of spec takes it's toll on the fiber links.

By doing a little prying In the open holes I was able to get 2 out of the three bolts started. But the third one goes through the hole towards the rear then the link but doesn't quite line up with the rear by maybe an eight of an inch. It's like the link is just a tad too long. Would this be due to the alignment issue or something else going on.

If the fit gets better or worse at different clock positions of the flywheel I'd suspect alignment.

I took it all the way around trying to get it in there but it seemed to be about the same throughout the entire rotation. so I didn't really know what was going on. It seemed like the holes towards the rear end needed to spin counter clockwise just a hair to get the bolts in.

Back to those links again, being after market they may be a little off.

0.010" run out is fairly tight tolerance. Alignment should be checked irregardless.

be sure to check your front engine mount bushing. the rubber in it deteriorates and causes the front of the engine to lower , thus throwing the clutch out of alignment. you can check it by jacking up the front of the engine and look to see if it moves and not the engine mount. good luck 1
