Pre-combustion chamber has come apart at seam (happens occasionally). About the only way I know of getting the remaining piece out is to weld something to the remainder that will withstand the 200 + ft-lb torque to get it out.

After welding two bolts and three nuts on to the remains, I finally got it out today, witch brings me to my new issue, what do I use to get the new one back in with. tried using the compression nut that holds the injector in but thats not going to work. Anyone have any clue what cat used?

There is a special tool to install the pre-cup ! A hex head with a splined shaft. Don't know the part number, I borrowed it from my Diesel Engine Instructor but OM or edb (and others) will know it off the top of their heads ! Seen them on e-bay through links here ! There are two sizes and you need the bigger one. Glen

Now I am having o ring trouble, did cat make two different size o rings? taken calibers and checked, I have it completely seated and still pouring water out the o ring, plus can spin o ring using small screw driver. thinking something was packaged wrong or there was two different sizes

Gets tricky....
There are two different bores for the pre-com assembly

Are you using one piece pre-com chambers or the original type two piece (with or without retainer)?

1957 would use the later larger bore head.
Uses the same chamber and inner seal to the retainer but the outer seal is different 7B6868 on the early and 2H3088 on the later.

Early retainer is a 4F5678, later retainer is a 1H7653.
