Hello Darrol! very sorry to hear of your wifes passing, my condolences. You have some nice tractors there. I wish I and im sure other club members were closer there as we could help out in getting them up to parr again.

I am the owner of the old Cats in Coldwater, Darrol D8H. My wife of 62 years passed away, a year ago and I have not visited the Bulletin Board until now. I recall visiting with a nice lady about them. The 2U D8 will run, not so the others. I enjoy looking at them every time I go to the shop. I am trying to get local mechanic to get the sixty to running. I am too old to do anything (87). Still drive MT 765 challenger to help out farming. I am glad to see interest in the old tractors.
Hi Darrol,
My condolences on your loss of of the love of your life. I am happy to hear that you are up and about and still enjoy getting on a modern comfortable tractor and doing some real work. Have you farmed with these old Cats in years back. We love to hear stories about the history of machines and old pictures are always great. Thank you for posting.

I too am sorry to learn of your loss. Thank you very much for taking the time to post your replies. You not only supplied the answer to my question about the Foley location in Coldwater, you also told me the approximate age of my D-7 sales brochure. I am glad that you are a ACMOC member and that you are still running a Caterpillar!
Thanks again,
Craig

Hi Darrol I to am very sorry for your loss I can only hope I get to spend 67 years with the love of my life. Its good to see your still moving forward as I am sure that is a difficult thing to do after going through that. You have some great old Cats hopfully one day they will have life again and be passed on to the next generation. Have you ever considered donating one or all of them to one of the near by Acmoc clubs for restoration then maybe to a museum to preserve part of your family history. Just some thing to think about. Darrol Thanks for posting !
Thanks God Bless

Hello Darroll,
Sorry to hear about your wife passing. I've emailed with you a few years ago as I found out you were from the Southern part of KS and I wondered just where. I was thinking at the time you where farming with a D8H. Is that correct? I know I hadn't seen you posting on here in quite awhile and wondered what became of you. catskinner

It took a while to find this post so I could add to it. I passed through Coldwater, KS again in April 2024. Things have changed in 10 years but some the old Caterpillars are still there + another one. I hope the ones missing have found good homes.
