That's it, my allotment is full.
George, yes it has been very busy around here. But I wouldn't have it any other way!
Old Magnet, you're welcome for the pictures. Least I can do for all those that could not make it. It sure sounds like you fellas are in for a big show next year. Held on the Daniel Best Ranch no less!
John in WY, you and me both! I took several shots of that THIRTY. I think I stood next to that machine more than I did my own TEN. Billy did an excellent job with it.
Eddie, fortunately for me...I don't have to worry about it. The D9 showed plenty of wear and tear. It was just nice the owner let members run her. I could have...but I've never been on something that huge and didn't want to embarrass myself, or the club, in front of seasoned professionals. I may regret that though! Opportunities like that do not come along everyday!

Pat.
Great pictures thanks for sharing!
Who own's all the tractors at Richmond shown in your pictures, as they seem to have an extensive collection of equipment or does it all belong to collectors?

James,
Some of the running pieces belong to different collectors but all the still pieces belong to one man. Forgive me for not knowing his name. I was going 4 different directions the last 4 days and never even got a program for the show!

BUMMER!!
My TEN wouldn't start after nearly 40 minutes of effort and sweet. Ran fine all weekend...you should see my blisters!
A very special THANKS to Yarnell Wasler and Luke Warfield for giving me a pull with Yarnell's mighty D8. I wish someone would have gotten a picture of that!
Once the TEN started...it ran terrible. But I was able to creep over to my trailer and load it.
We made the trip back to Salisbury safely. I hope everyone else did too!
Tomorrow I have to get my Allis Chalmers B out to pull my TEN into the shop. It will not start via the hand crank. It will start by pulling but it runs like it has no power, a lot of exhaust popping, and even at idle the exhaust pulses are not steady, like a plug is fowled or the timing got off. I hope to find out more tomorrow.
Not the way I wanted to end a fanstastic weekend...but I know it could always be worse! I'm just thankful for all the support and help members offered me this morning! It helped take the edge off, believe me!

Some of the equipment is owned by the Rockville-Centerville Steam & Gas Historical Association, but most of the earthmoving equipment has been collected and owned by Mr Jack Pruitt. I think he ownes the land the show is on. I met him there and he was nice enough to show me his restored tractors, cars and trucks in three metal buildings off limits to visitors. He also told me about his "junk Yard" that must be full of other treasures on the "other hill" I would loved to have seen it. Had a great time at the show.

Hi Pat,
Hate it when that happens:(
.......in front of everybody:(
Hope it's something simple......like loss of fuel supply or fouled plugs:)
The later pony motors are famous for doing that to a fella when he least expects it:rolleyes:

Old Magnet,
I know what your saying! These machines have to embarrass you once in a while during a show!
I hope it is something simple too...almost has to be as it happened almost overnight!
I'll get it figured out this week.
Member2103,
Thanks for filling in the facts! Mr. Pruitt was talking with several of us and he mentioned that the whole show site property has become so valuable that he may be selling it. He is looking for a new site now and hopes to be able to make enough profit from that land to purchase the new property and pay for moving everything to the new site. I would hate to move all that stuff!
Hi Luke,
Glad to post that picture and tell the story. Thanks again to you and your step dad for giving me the pull! It's nice to have friends willing to help when you have problems.

Again Pat, I enjoyed your supplemental photos. Very nice. I received a phone call last night from Jeff Huff, who was on his way back home, and he reported with enthusiasm about what a good show it was. A good time had by all! GWH
