Automotive 2 pack paint resists fading very well, unlike enamels which tend to fade quite quickly.

So if this machine is stored away from UV, the colour will essentially reamin the same forever!

It looks very good too!!

Nice looking machine I have never seen a thirty with the side seat arrangement on it I wonder if that tractor was set up to pull a grader back in the day? Thanks for the pics, Jason

jason, i have no information on this machine in its previous life. would there had been some other attachments along with the side seat from back in the day for road grader work? like some sort of cable system or maybe a winch? the only other side seat i have seen is a vid of i believe a 20 on youtube but vid is to far away to tell much about it. i would like to know as much about this as i can find out. any info would be appreciated. eric

Other attachments to pull a grader? No, at that time, all the graders had an operator to run every thing.

Does the seat pivot or only slide over?

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

There is most not all the parts of a grader for a side seat operator at an Auction this week.
The controls go on the front truck and are mounted close enough for the tractor operator to reach as he is sitting sideways.
These are the missing parts.
I saw a complete tractor/grader setup 10 years ago.
Unfortunately I can't remember the details?

assuming this is the original seat, it has no slides. it just unbolts from the mounts and gets rotated 90 deg and bolted back down. i will try to get some up close pics today. eric

i went back and looked at that 20, which is a 28, my mistake, on youtube again and his appears to have some sort of cable system or possibly a gear box. hard to tell, and no grader operator. maybe at the time of purchase you could get either depending on how much cash you wanted to spend. or possibly the type of grader one was wanting to pull. here is that link:
very cool setup. i posted on that vid that i would like to see some upclose pics of his setup. my interest is now definately peaked. maybe someone on here has a brochure or some pics of the different set ups. also my parts parts manual doesnt show anything at all about the side seat setup. i am in the dark about it all. eric

A few scans of trailer patrol operated from tractor and side seat arrangement from Thirty parts book and the dueal pto to operate trailer patrol. The trailer patrol is shown with a little newer tractor, I cannot find any literature showing attached to a Thirty.

wow. thanks brian, just what i was lookin for. i think my 30 had the dual gear box. although it was not on there when i got it, i could tell something had been recently attached in the pto area. also had a couple hex bolts, which are shown in the scans, that had been screwed barely back in by hand. man oh man how i wish that pto was on the tractor when i got it. thanks for takin the time to provide these scans, eric

Eric if you would like clearer version of any of the scans, either email or PM me with you email and I can send them at close to original literature quality.
It is too bad that pto is missing. I have never seen one, in 40 years of looking at cats.
