I have a 1936 Cat 10 Autopatrol, serial # 4K26.I am looking for a head gasket for it,does anyone know what engine is in it so I can see if Olson gaskets have one or maybe Cat will have one.

I don't know what the engine designation is but I show a 4 cyl 4-3/16 in. bore and 5-1/2 in. stroke same as engine used in Model 28 tractor.

Hi Highcrop10,
my former models spec. sheet shows engine as 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" 4 cyl. and 4K is the Gas version No 10 so it should be the 4400G engine.
Hope this helps,
Eddie B.

Hi OM,
variety is the spice of life they say!!
My Cat chart shows the 3F as having the 4 3/16" x 5 1/2" engine. You and I have only our charts to work by and Yellow Father doesn't always get it right, so we are left to wonder.
Maybe a pic is worth a thousand words here, and it is time for those with hands on experience on the iron to help out.
Keep smiling,
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Hi edb,
I also have a version of that engine list.....but I also know the documentation on graders is some of Cats worst when it comes to accuracy. I agree the answer is someone that owns one and knows for sure.

I'm not sure where you get that crap from but No. 10 Auto Patrol should have a 6G 30 or R4 engine and the 28 engine 3F powerunit was in a No.9 Auto Patrol. Heres a No.10 with tarp and other is No.9

Turns out the "crap" came from this BB for this application. Sure would be nice if someone would publish a correct listing of graders. Could even become part of the archives........ya, right:rolleyes:
.
What year did the 4400G come on the scene? Is the 1933 production start for the 4K series correct???
