The Great Aussie Beer Shed was our host venue for the dinner and triva night, and certianly lived up to its name. Proprietor Neil was a perfect host giving the Chapter a funny and engaging presentation on the history of the museum and some of its exhibits, with a real passion for Aussie made products. The two course roast dinner was a hit, and raffle ticket sales were strong with Benji & Thomas Hutchings selling $470 worth of tickets between them! First prize went to Sue Cornfoot, second price to Sharon Schlien and third prize went to Neil our host.
Glen hosted three rounds of triva, with topics including Cat & William Adams history, Australian general knowledge and Who or what am I. In the end team "High Ten's" won the night and were awarded their gold medals. The night was a huge success, thanks very much to Eric & Margot Thiele for organising the venue and bus transfers, it was a great choice and one that will be hard to beat. It was wonderful to see old friends and new, catching up and having a laugh, and wives and partners also enjoying the night and making new friends. Being involved in a Club like ACMOC is about more than just the tractors, its a bringing people together, socialising and supporitng each other in a safe and friendly environment.
Thanks to William Adams for donating the new D8 & D10 stubbie holders and hamper cooler bags.
