I recently went thru this with a PTO on a 22. I suspect the D2 uses the same sort of studs. Figure out how much longer they need to be than the originals and go to O,Riellys auto parts. They carry (or can get) the studs that have the two different threads on the ends. The course end goes into the rear housing and the finer thread takes the nuts that hold the PTO. I dont recall the proper name for that type of stud, but they should be able to find them. Get an old parts man. That usually helps. Grant.

A correction on my part. It was Napa Auto where I got the studs. I go in and out of auto parts store too often, and forgot which store I had found them at. Grant.
