D6 9U Available

This tractor, D6 9U6991 is excess inventory and is available to be picked up at no charge. We do not know for sure when it last ran, but after freshening up the magneto and kitting the carburetor, we got the diesel to run reasonably well. It appears that something is amiss in the governor as it will only run and one speed, and only when the throttle is in full speed position. Any movement off that position immediately shuts it down completely. One can manually move the rack and get different speeds by pushing on the internal linkage. The oil clutch housing has a massive freeze crack in the bottom, and the linkage to the hand lever is way out of adjustment. One cannot engage the clutch until some work is done there. One of the steering clutch spool valves is stuck, and the rebuilt carburetor has a nasty habit of hanging-up inside somehow and holding the float open. The blade is well worn but serviceable and I neglected to check the condition of the undercarriage. Keep in mind it will have to be dragged or pushed onto a trailer. Right now there is an operational D8 on the property that could do that job. It is also available for pick up and may be gone at any time. Here is a video of it starting and running:

Fine offer by you there. I have enjoyed your YouTube videos and comments. One suggestion if you can post your rough location it will help find a suitable local caretaker of this machine. Good luck saving some parts from the scrap man.

Thanks for checking the ad and finding my complete oversight. The D6 is in the Flathead Valley, Montana, about 50 miles north of Missoula.
