My order was canceled by the only source I could find in the US for this part number. Trying to convert Brutus to electric start so I can use him this year on our house build. Are there other parts I can use in place of this with my D47U ? 


 

I don't know where your shopping but Delco 1988854 is a good number and available.
You can also use a 1988748 which is six hole indexing instead of twelve.
May make a difference depending on which lever housing the starter has.

find it parts, no stock available both items
sadler powertrain, no stock first item, no mention second item.
source 1 parts center may have the second item you provided ... will have to order to find out as the last place I ordered the original part number from with 12 indexing points had it "in stock" till I ordered :/

Do you know of a place that has the 12 indexing part in stock?

Vendor I ordered from, alternative part 6 indexing, just called to say they are out of stock and deloc can't give them a timeframe to when it will be in stock ...

Got a picture? What does a machined head look like?
Is that a standard SAE 3 head that has been hacked up to give pinion clearance???
