I am thinking of selling the tracks from my RD4 parts machine. I was told that the chains were new not long before my dad bought the tractor in the 60s..He didnt put many hours on it before he left the stack open over a winter. That finished that tractor. Pads and grousers look great and pins feel good to me. What should the "As New" diameter of the pins be? I am cleaning up the property and decided that there is no need to save them since they wont fit on my D4 6U. Just curious.. I will get some pictures and measurements if it ever stops raining. Thanks,

I do not know, Grant. Did you really mean the bushings? What are your pad widths? Thanks, JM.

If it is not pouring rain tomorrow, I will try for part numbers. What I mean by pins are the pins that ride on the drive sprockets. maybe I have been calling them wrong all of these years but the percentage of track wear was (I always thought) the wear on the pins. I will measure them if I can, and see if they are out of round or have been turned.

I measured the pads at 16 in. I did not measure the pins but they have surface rust on them. I wonder what that does to the case hardening? It is going to be a while before I do anything with this old beast. Grant.
