Google "Old Croak Magnitos" . When I needed my Cat 22 mag rebuilt I called around and they seemed to be the best price by a good margin and they were quick and nice to deal with. They are in Washington state. Where are you located? Grant.

I think that I paid less than $200. I dont really remember other than it was less than I was quoted at other shops. I am an hour north of Santa Rosa.. Send me a PM. I might be able to help you with the Big 20. Grant.

This looks like a Big 20 so it is a Ensign carb

The Wico should not be too much to get done depending on how much work you would like to have done to it. Parts availability has been a bit spotty. If it is a Wico X or C, do it your self, they are very simple mags, the X more than the C. On the X if you want to do it on the cheap replace the ball bearing, gasket and oil seal on the backside. Mark the location of the impulse stop to that you can put it back in the same place. If there is still a good amount of material on the points, dress them up and reuse them. If you can, test the condenser and coil. If not, new condensers are around $15 and new coils are $40 if I remember. Clean the rest of it up, lube it and run it. It is not like the machine will be running 8 hours a day 7 days a week ever again. The original mag would have been either an Eisemann G4 3rd edition or an Eisemann GV4. These can cost a bit more to go through as a rewound coil its self can cost around $170. The rest of the parts are either finding used or NOS.
The original carb is either an Ensign AEL or an AELC. The difference between the two is the AELC has a choke and the AEL dose not. McDonalds Carb and Ignition has floats made out of a modern material, not cork, and float valves. They also have a few of the gaskets, but not all. The early and mid John Deere GP used Ensign Carbs. Another place to look for float valve parts is IH parts suppliers who have parts for the 15-30, 22-36 and 10-20 tractors.
Thanks
Ken

Stanley Fetsch and Son in Stockton, CA rebuilds magnetos. (209) 466-3663 James uses the same magneto test bench that his great grandfather built. They also rebuild starters, generators, alternators and small engines.  If you are an instagram user, follow the user name: stanleyfetschandson and you can see a video he posted of a magneto being tested.
