A Friend suggested to Me recently that I use Balsawood to Make Floats for Ensign BEV Carbs . He said they used Balsawood on Carbs on Go buggies when He was a Young Fellow. .Any One any Thoughts ?, could it stand the Modern Fuels ? any thoughts or suggestions appreciated . LJ

I've tried retrofitting the brass float from a Kohler engine carb before. They're the same diameter but you have to make the arm.

In my notes I have written that "Steve A says that Restoration Supply sells Nitrophyl to make floats. It can be worked like wood and modern fuels dont bother it" I dont know if I got that from Acmoc or another forum, but might be worth looking into/ Let us know how it goes. Grant. I just found the phone number that is supposed to be for "Restoration Supply".1-800-306-7008.
