Parts needed for Little Giant 32

Need Drive Gear for Little Giant C32.  I'm a newby to your group, but found some recent discussion about my small crane  that is a KEY part of my marine construction business.  It's a Little Giant, 1973 model, long out of production.  But this little 15 ton baby works every day, driving pilngs from a barge.  But it broke and I need a Drive Gear number C-74895.  Can't find it and I figured that this might be a good forum to check out.  Hope someone can help

How large is it? Have the old one for a pattern?  I know of a machine shop that may be able to make one or he has connections with foundry's and machinists around Detroit Mi.

It's a 15 ton model SN 327660. Crawler. I can get the old gear out. The gear part number is C-74895 (95097). It's the drive gear for the loadhoist/inhaul shaft.

Get the gear out and post some photos of it here and we'll go from there.

Thanks Rome k/g and bursitis for your advise. I'll check with manitex before pulling the gear. Do you know what happened to Tim Hoover. I was trying to reach him through the HCEA in Ontario, but they're out of business. He rebuilt that sweet Little Giant of his and he's bound to know where to get parts. I couldn't find him. Any ideas???

You guys are awesome.

i haven't worked on a little giant but all of the others i have been around were individuals even in their model and manufacture. if you can find the build sheet for your specific crane there will be a drawing and spec that you can use to have the part made.

We do have the original manual, so we might have the build sheet. I'll check.

I called manitex, but they were tied up. The parts dude will probably laugh when I tell him it's a 1973 model. Man, that's an old machine! Just figured out the age! Still working though and doing stuff nothing else currently built can do. That's why I want to fix it up. Old stuff, like me, still works, just not as good as it used to. I'm 77 and still chuggin'

Thanks for your help.
