I'm wondering if you could make one up out of parts Gary. Seems that the motor would largely be the same as any other. The nose would be different but then it might be a shared part number with other fitments, and the armature shaft / Bendix arrangement might be adaptable from other fitments too. The nose could even be milled or modified from another. Not your first choice obviously but could be an option. I'm contemplating a 6V inertia starter based on those considerations (strictly for hot starts : )

My plan is to run my 6v starter at 6v, using the existing battery. The trick will be to marry the 6V components to the D2-specific nose and gear/Bendix
